DELTA CABELVISION SYSTEMS OF KANSAS

Delta Cablevision Systems of Kansas, Inc. was a purveyor of cable service to rural areas in western Kansas. This business, which operated as a full-range cable provider, held operating assets in Colorado, Kansas and Nebraska. The business was placed into receivership at the insistence of its secured lender, State Street Bank of Boston. Pursuant to the District Court’s directive, DSI was appointed the Federal Equity Receiver in the matter. As Receiver, DSI managed the day-to-day operations of the cable system. DSI also assumed responsibility for the marketing and subsequent negotiations surrounding a sale of all of the business’s assets. DSI also worked jointly with the FCC and all local utilities (where we shared some common provider lines) to effectuate the operation of the receivership, convey the assets in a sale to a new purchaser and then ultimately transfer all of the applicable licenses, after gaining approval from the relevant regulatory authorities (including the FCC), to the new owner.
